Jabes Coetzer Boerdery is a Cattle (Boran Stud) & Game farm, our operations span over two farms situated between Witbank & Middelburg, in Mpumalanga. Our current operations total just over 1’100 Hectares.
The name JABES is from the Afrikaans Bible in 1 Chronicles 4:10 and has served as cornerstone in our family’s outlook and success.
” 10Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
The Jabes Coetzer farming operations has been founded by Coenie & Hester Coetzer in 2002, we have grown from speculation with commercial cattle to a fully fledge commercial and stud Boran cattle farming. The hunting and game breeding was added to the portfolio in early 2017.
At the heart of the Jabes farming is family, the cattle operations are co-owned by family members, from the patriarch, Coenie Coetzer, born in 1948, to the youngest third generation family member has their own cattle.
Elandspruit is a 475 hectar farm, with mainly game & hunting operations. Mooifontein is 700 hectar farm, with mainly Commercial & Stud cattle operations. These farms are leased under long term contract from the respective landowners and government.
We are involved in the upliftment and mentoring of aspirant farmers who is also owners of the land. The Mahlangu family has recently been sponsored with 10 pregnant commercial Boran cows in various stadium of gestation. We look forward in mentoring them to become commercially successful farmers.
